Your Partner Does Not Want to Wear a Condom
There are lots of excuses not to wear a condom, but there are many more reasons why wearing one is crucial to keeping you safe from both unwanted pregnancy and STD’s including HIV. Here are some common excuses people make for why they don’t want to wear a condom, and things you can say to them. If your partner says they are on the pill and you don’t need a condom, you can tell them that the pill won’t protect us from STD’s that we may not even know we have and condoms will give us that protection.
If they say that you have already had sex without a condom before and you don’t need one now, then you can say that that was a bad decision and you don’t want to make it again. If your partner complains that they can’t feel anything with a condom, then you can let them know that many condoms have extra features to actually make sex better and you will both be able to relax more knowing you are being safe against STD’s and unwanted pregnancy.
If you are afraid of asking your guy to use a condom because you think he won’t trust you , then this probably means you don’t trust him if you can’t ask him to use a condom. There are lots of great reasons to use a condom, so don’t let you or your partners excuses stop you from protecting yourselves.
