Nobody Left Out
Safe sex and sexual intercourse are currently one of the most hotly debated topics, with thousands of sites on the internet dedicated especially to informing the public on the many risks associated with practicing unsafe sex. Sexual intercourse between two people can be extremely fun while performed in a responsible and protective manner. This should be additionally enforced if the one of the partners hasn’t been tested for a series of sexually transmitted diseases.
Taking the necessary precautions is extremely simple and will insure there is nothing to worry about after a fun night out. In the past only men carried condoms but nowadays society has changed its conservative views and most women have learnt that they too can play an important role in insuring safe sex. Both men and women sexually active should always carry condoms in case of an emergency because “risking it” is more serious than getting pregnant at a young age or at an inopportune time.
Oral sex is seen as the perfect solution for those that are sexually active and don’t want to risk contracting a disease. This is a very naive way to look at things especially seeing as there are hundreds of sexually transmitted diseases that can be contracted from practicing oral sex. To be truly protected men should wear a condom when receiving, or a dental dam when performing, oral sex.
Anal sex is practiced by millions of people all around the world and although it can be a safer form of sex, since pregnancy is largely avoided, the risks of contracting a sexually transmitted disease are still present. Some of the most common diseases are perfectly curable and won’t cause permanent damage but when the infection is more serious, like in the case of HIV/AIDS, the risks of performing any sexual act without the use of a condom outweigh the advantages. Anal sex is not safe against the transmission of HIV/AIDS and that by itself should be more than enough to scare anyone into practicing safe sex.
Unfortunately sex is a risky business even when using protection. These risks are potentially higher if one of the sexual partners has been sexually active with many other individuals and has neglected to use protection. Anyone sexually active with more than one partner should always seek a doctor to perform a routine checkup and in this way insure no sexually transmitted diseases have been contracted. Remember that safe sex is all about prevention.
