Foam can be inserted about 20 minutes before intercourse, but will begin to work as soon as it is inserted.Foam is good for women who don’t want to use a hormonal birth control. Some of the downsides to using foam are that it can irritate some women’s vaginas. Some people also feel that the foam is messy. Foam will not protect against STD’s.
